Under the Jubilee Celebration theme “Adventure and Fun”, the Instructors of Gold Troop took the initiative to relive the old practice of annual Trip by organizing a hike to the famous Hanthana mountain range on 29th August 2019.  The expedition was well attended by the junior troop including the recruits.  Against all the odds of continuous showering and dense fog during the preceding week, the whole journey was blessed with a soft weather despite a temporary drizzle or two. The nature trail, gusty winds on the cliffs and the pass, the occasional leeches and the scenic views of Kandian plateau made the scouts strong in both sinew and spirit. We thank the immense services of the representatives of the Explorers Club of University of Peradeniya, old scouts Emalka, Dr. Pramith Ruwanpathirana and Dr. Thanura Hewawasam. Also much thanks goes to the team of army personals headed by Captain Lasantha for their comradeship.
