The 42nd Colombo Scout Group in collaboration with the Science & Technology Department of the Educational Ministry organized a “FUN EVENING” for the 250 Students from Northern Province who attended the Science & Technology Workshop held in Colombo, on the 10th of November 2011. The students attended the workshop in the morning and visited Royal College in the evening. The programme conducted by the scouts kicked off at 3.00 pm where 6 mixed teams (comprising of Royal Scouts & Northern Students) were formed & then the teams were sent to 6 activity grounds where the Instructors conducted different scouting games. Later on, in the day the scout group conducted a Camp Fire and the Chief Guests were Hon. Mr. Bandula Gunawardena, the Minister of Education & Hon. Mrs. Pavithra Wanniarachchi. It was indeed a memorable day both for the Royal Scouts & the Northern students.
