A special residential programme was conducted in line with the Earth Hour 2019, and fulfilling the requirements of the World Scout Environment Badge on 19-20 March 2019 at College premises. The main facilitators were Mr. Dharshana Ranathunga, ADC and old scout, Mr. Praneeth Rathnayake. The second day of the workshop was a journey to the Urban natural ecosystem, Diyasaru Park Baththaramulla. The scouts were able to gain loads of learning on the eco systems, flora and fauna and inspiration to design future patrol activities. We also thank the special resource person who joined for the tour Mr. Amila Sumanapala, zoologist, ecologist, ornithologist, an old scout of 42nd Colombo Scout Group, former Diamond Troop.  In conclusion the scouts engaged in a 12 km hike back to the College as a part of the programme.
