The walk to commemorate the centenary of Scouting in Sri Lanka, jointly organized by Sri Lanka Scout Association and Colombo District Branch Association was held on Saturday, 25th of February 2012. The walk commenced at 7.30 am from Galle Face Green and concluded at the Vihara Mahadevi Park, Colombo 07, by 12 .00 noon. The route of the Parade was Galle Face, Kollupitiya Junction, Dharmapala Mawatha, Scout Statue & ended at the Park. The Cub scouts joined the Parade at St Thomas Preparatory School. An estimated crowd of over 4000 Cubs and Scouts participated in the walk. A special Centenary Walk badge was awarded to the Scouts & Cubs who participated.  The Royal Scouts too joined the walk.
