With the dawn of the New Year the Scouts organized a multi religious programme to invoke blessing to the scouts and the troop for a successful year ahead.  A Pirith Chanting ceremony was held on 1st January 2019 at the Scout Room by the Venerable thero of College staff. The event was attended by Mr. Dharshana Ranathunga, Scout Leader, ASLs, Seniors and scouts. A Thai-pongal celebration was held on the 15th of January 2019 by the priests of Sri Mayurapathi Kovil, followed by a rich pasath of pongal, wade, banana and many other sweets. Catholic service was not held due to the non-availability of the priest on the scheduled date.
